AMD has recently announced Ryzen 5 2400G and Ryzen 3 2200G APUs, however today the company has releases two low power versions as well. With the Ryzen 3 2200GE and Ryzen 5 2400GE, AMD has added two 35 Watt based APUs.
A few weeks ago, the Ryzen 5 2400GE and Ryzen 3 2200GE have been spotted on the CPU compatibility lists of several AM4 motherboards. The chips have the same tier-branding, but they sport the suffix "GE" instead of "G". Just for comparison reason, the Ryzen 5 2400G comes with a base clock of 3.60GHz and a boost clock of 3.90GHz, while the Ryzen 5 2400GE sports a base clock of 3.20GHz and a boost clock of 3.80GHz.
On the Ryzen 3 2200GE we hava a similar situation since there is a gap of 300MHz as well between the two models. It's not the first time that AMD releases two series of APUs on different stages. At the moment there isn't more information but this two APUs might be a terrific solution for internet PC or small NAS server.
