During the CES 2018, be quiet! has unveiled new options for cooling your new builds. be quiet! make some of the best CPU coolers around and with the new coolers they made some improvements. Now, after few months, the company is ready to unveils two high-end CPU coolers.
With the Dark Rock Pro 4, the company unveils a dual-fan air cooler with a massive shape. According to the be quiet!, this cooler should be more than enough to cool up to 250W TDP processors. The fans installed inside the Dark Rock Pro 4 are two SilentWings 3 with airflow-optimized blades. While the front fan comes with 120mm size, the middle one sports 135mm diameter.
Compared to the Dark Rock Pro 3, the upcoming model comes with a huge cut out to support taller RAM modules. Furthermore the cooler comes with a special black coating with ceramic particles that should improve heat transfer.
The Dark Rock 4 is a single tower cooler paired with a 135mm SilentWings PWM fan. The cooler sports six copper heat pipes and several aluminum fins. According to the pictures, be quiet! has changed the mounting mechanism. We hope to see way less parts because the current retention kit is rather complicated. At this time is hard to understand if this coolers will be compatible with AMD Threadripper.
The Dark Rock 4 CPU cooler is available for 72 Euro, and the larger Dark Rock Pro 4 CPU cooler is priced at 86 Euro.
