Intel launches H370, H310 and B360 chipsets

Finally available

A few months ago, Intel has released the Z370 chipset which is compatible with Coffee Lake processors. Intel was supposed to release the H370, B360 and H310 chipsets in the following months as well, however the company has slow down the entire process. During the last week we have published several news about the upcoming motherboards based on this chips and today Intel has officially unveils the mid-range chipsets.

As you might know, the Coffee Lake lineup will include four chipsets in total. At the top of the series we have the Intel Z370 which is designed for enthusiast motherboards. Right after we have the H370 which is designed for the mainstream motherboards and it is going to replace the current H270 chipset. Last but not least, Intel has added two entry-level chipsets which are called B360 and H310.

Like Intel Z370 is basically a spec for spec refresh of Z270, it's more or less the same for the other three chips. The H370 is the refresh of the H270, while H310 should take the spot of H110 chipset that was missing in Kaby Lake series. Last but not least, we have B360 chipset (which isn't named "B350" because AMD is already using it) that replaces Intel B250.

These chipsets offer mid-range and low-end options. For example, the H370 platform has a maximum of six SATA6 ports and up to 20 PCIe 3.0 lanes. The Intel H310 on the other hand offers up to four SATA6 ports and 6 PCIe 3.0 lanes. Furthermore this chip drops Intel Optane Memory support. The B360 chipset sits somewhere in between since it comes with 12 PCI-E 3.0 lanes and six SATA6 ports.
