ADATA launches XPG Gammix S11 PCIe NVMe SSDs

With Silicon Motion SM2262 controller

ADATA has announced the XPG GAMMIX S11, that is the successor to the GAMMIX S10 and the new flagship NVMe SSD from ADATA. The new drive comes with similar performance specifications of the SX8200 that was released just a week ago. The upcoming Gammix S11 offers a black PCB with an eye-catching red heat sink.

The new Gammix S11 NVMe SSD is going to be available with 240GB, 480GB, and 960GB capacity and uses 3D TLC NAND memory. Like most NVMe SSDs out today, the Gammix S11 NVMe SSD makes use of the M.2 2280 form factor and a PCIe Gen 3.0 x4 interface and the NVMe 1.3 protocol. ADATA's Gammix S11 sports a new Silicon Motion controller in order to ensure better performance as well as a higher TBW rating.

Talking about performance, sequentially reading these drives should achieve up to 3'200MB/s and 1'700MB/s in the case of sequential writes. According to the manufacturer, the Gammix S11 can hit up to 310k IOPS random read and 280k IOPS random write.

All the drives are backed by a 5 years of warranty plan. Inside the package, ADATA adds a tiny heatspread that users can install on their SSD. So far ADATA has not revealed any details on pricing and availability regarding their Gammix S11 SSDs.
