Intel Core i9-8950HK spotted again

This time on a chinese site

A few months ago, an AIDA64 update unveiled a long list of mobile processors that included Coffee Lake-H and Coffee Lake-S processors intended for laptops. The most interesting model was the Core i9-8950HK since this is going to be the first Core i9 processor for laptop.

This time the leak comes from wobenben.com that has published several Cinebench scores of the upcoming CPUs. According to the specifications posted on AIDA64 a few weeks ago, the upcoming Core i9-8950HK should pack six cores and twelve threads. Due to the suffix "HK", this processor should be unlocked and ready to be overclocked. Furthermore we will see two more six-core CPUs that will come with lower TDP.

According to the leak, the Core i9-8950HK can hit 1'083 points in multi-thread and 204 points in single-thread. The Core i7-8850H and the Core i7-8750H are rather close to each other. While the first Core i7 can reach 1'288 points in multi-thread, in single-thread it scores 181 points. Since there is only 200MHz gap between the two Core i7 models, the performance difference is around 2%.

Comparing this scores with our CPU 2D chart, we see that in the multi-thread benchmark the Core i7-8850H can compete against the Core i7-5820K at stock clocks. The difference between the two models is rather thin. On following you can find more details about the upcoming models.
