ASUS has expanded its monitor lineup with another model that comes with a 24-inch TN panel with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. Furthermore the monitor has adaptive-sync/Freesync technology on board. According to ASUS, the MG248QE monitor is supposed to be used in gaming environment.
As we already mentioned the MG248QE monitor is based on a 24-inch panel with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. On the back there is one DisplayPort 1.2a connector, one DVI port and one HDMI 1.4a port. According to ASUS, the display comes with a dynamic contrast ratio of 100'000'000:1 and 350 cd/m2 brightness. ASUS had this display tested at TÜV Rheinland and they've certified it for flicker-free and low blue light.
What actually makes this a gaming display is the fact that it supports FreeSync technology. The panel itself is housed in a well-built frame, which allows for tilt and height adjustment. Furthermore it's compatible with VESA mounts, making this display ideal for multi-monitor configurations if required. At this time ASUS hasn't revealed any details on pricing and availability.
