Biostar unveils Racing GT7 motherboard

Compatible with Coffee Lake CPUs

At the moment there is only one picture showing the layout of the Z370 Racing GT7. Like the previous model this one features an entirely black color scheme with gold labels on the PCB. According to the first leaks,Z370 motherboards appear to be very similar to the Z270 models, but besides this Coffee Lake chips won't work on the 7th generation platform.

According to the image, it looks like this board is based on an E-ATX form-factor with your standard four DIMM slots. Apart from that this appears to be a high-end model and we can already spot a few nice features like for example the I/O cover as well as a bunch of PCIe 3.0 x16 slots.

Storage wise, Biostar sports six SATA ports but none of them have been angled. Between each full-sized PCIe slot there is a M.2 slot and the slots can hold a whole variety of M.2 drives and the longest of them can measure 110mm, complying with the 22110 standard. Both M.2 slots are covered with a slim heat sink.

If you are thinking about buying a new PC, which is based on Intel's Z-series chipset, we suggest to wait a few weeks since by then Coffee Lake will be out.
