According to latest rumors, Intel is planning to release their new Coffee Lake series of CPUs alongside the Z370 chipset in Q4 2017. According to the first leaks, Z370 motherboards appears to be very similar to Z270 motherboard, but beside this aspect Coffee Lake chips won’t work in the 7th generation platform. Coffee Lake and Kaby Lake are actually pin-compatible, meaning both share the same LGA1151 socket.


Apparently this board comes with an armada of features, such as three M.2 slots for example. Compared to the Z270 GODLIKE GAMING, which is the high-end model for the Gaming series on Z270 chipset, they haven't change almost nothing. At the moment there isn't any additional information on this particular from MSI directly.

Looking at the picture, the MSI Z370 GODLIKE GAMING is based on an E-ATX form-factor and there the usual four DIMM slots. Apart from that "Mystic Light" RGB lighting is supported, which allows for changing the illumination of the board from within Windows. There are four full-sized PCIe slots with steel reinforcements and one PCIe x1 slot. Between each full-sized PCIe slot there is a M.2 slot and all of them are covered with the MSI M.2 Shield which should help preventing thermal throttling of M.2 SSDs. The slots can hold a whole variety of M.2 drives and the longest of them could measure 110mm, complying with the 22110 standard.

In the case of SATA 6 ports you'll find six angled ports. MSI has also added quite a few bells and whistles you might want for overclocking. Like on the Titanium series, there is a debug display as well as several onboard buttons.
