AMD releases Crimson ReLive 17.8.2 drivers

Added support and issues fixed

AMD today released the latest update to their Radeon GPU drivers, the Crimson ReLive Edition 17.8.2. Just a few days after the last WHQL driver has been launch this new version goes online. As always support for new games has been added and issues have been fixed.

The latest version of the Radeon Software Crimson ReLive 17.8.2 drivers, fixes a few issues that were present with version 17.8.1 and apart from that new games are supported as well.

In the case of the issues a bug has been fixed which made the screen go black after the installation of Radeon RX Vega Series products. Furthermore Radeon Wattman is now finally able to correctly apply overclock settings. This was quite an annoying bug if you wanted to squeeze some more performance out of your card and we’re glad to see this fixed.

When it comes to support and performance improvements in games the following has been done. F1 2017 now runs up to 4% quicker on Radeon RX Vega 64 graphics cards when compared with results gathered using the Crimson ReLive 17.8.1 driver. In the case of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Early Access the improvements are even more drastic. AMD claims to have increased the performance by up to 18%. Testing was again done with a Radeon RX Vega 64 graphics card using 17.8.1 drivers. Last but not least support for Destiny 2 Beta has been added.

As always, you can download the latest AMD Crimson ReLive drivers over at AMD's support page.
