SAPPHIRE unveils Radeon RX Vega 64 graphics cards

Two reference models

A few days ago, AMD has finally released their RX Vega graphics cards, revealing a cooler design that is similar to the one that can be found on the RX Vega Frontier Edition. The official name of this card is Vega 64, where the number derives from the core clusters count the chip comes with. Following the launch, many partners are now showing their models. SAPPHIRE for instance is launching three different versions of the Radeon Vega 64.

Having a closer look at the specs we see that the SAPPHIRE Radeon RX Vega 64 works at 1247MHz core clock and 1546MHz boost clock, while the SAPPHIRE Radeon RX Vega 64 Liquid Cooled comes factory-overclocked to 1406MHz core frequency and 1677MHz boost clock. The memory clock speed remains unchanged on both models and the HBM2 memory frequency is set to 945MHz.

The SAPPHIRE Radeon RX Vega 64 8GB HBM2 and the Limited Edition 8GB HBM2 versions come with a blower-style cooler with a silver or black shroud. Furthermore there are red accents here and there. The card looks pretty similar to the RX Vega Frontier Edition, the main difference is the color of the GPU cooler. The Radeon RX Vega 64 Liquid Cooled, as the name suggests, comes with an all-in-one cooler like the previous card, the RX Fury. This particular version should higher performance due to the better cooler and increased boost clock speeds.

Regarding the outputs, all the GPUs come with a HDMI port and three DisplayPort 1.4 connectors. The new Vega 64 SAPPHIRE graphics cards will be available starting from August 14th.
