Arctic Liquid Freezer coolers will support Threadripper

TR4 mounting kit included

With the upcoming socket TR4, AMD is going to change the mounting holes. Arctic has announced that their Liquid Freezer series will support AMD's Ryzen Threadripper processors with the TR4-compatible mounting kit. In other words, if you already own a Liquid Freezer CPU cooler and you are going to buy a TR4 motherboard, you will only need a TR4-compatible mounting kit.

The Liquid Freezer coolers compatible with TR4 socket will come in 120mm, 240mm and 360mm flavors each of with push/pull fans. The radiator is quite different in each version. For example the 360mm version features a 27mm thick radiator, while the 240mm version will come with a 38mm radiator. In addition the 120mm version coming with a very fat 48mm thick radiator. AMD will release two different Ryzen Threadripper CPUs, one with 12 cores and another with 16 cores. The release date is expected to be before August 10th.

During the next days we will create a good overview, showing all the manufacturers that have announced their conversion kits. At the moment only Arctic has announced the compatibility with the upcoming AMD TR4 socket.
