Zotac unveils two GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Mini

Two compact GTX 1080 Ti

Shortly after Zotac has announced the GeForce GTX 1080 Mini, two more GPUs with smaller-than-usual dimensions are being shown. This time ZOTAC unveils two of the smallest GTX 1080 Ti GPUs to date, and one comes with a dual fan cooler and the other features a custom water block.

The GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Mini features a compact PCB measuring only 20 centimeters in length. According to Zotac, this model is perfect for mini-ITX and SFF systems. The cooler is made from aluminum with thick copper heatpipes. The air is pushed through the fin stack by two 80mm fans. Checking the clock speeds we find reference frequencies in order to keep the heat and the power at a reasonable level. Like the Founders Edition, this card comes with three DisplayPort 1.4 connectors, one HDMI 2.0b connector and one dual-link DVI port.

The second Zotac GTX 1080 Ti Mini is the GTX 1080 Ti Arctic Storm Mini, which combines the short PCB of the GTX 1080 Ti Mini with a custom full cover water block. This water block takes care of the VRMs, memory and the core of the GPU. Zotac has not announced the clock speeds of this new GPU, although they are expected to be running with a factory overclock.

The GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Mini series should hit the market very soon and it’s quite likely that we will see it showcased at Computex 2017, which is going to open it’s doors this week. So far Zotac has not revealed any details on pricing but since this card features a heavily reworked design, we believe it won’t be cheap.
