G.SKILL announces OC World Cup 2017

With $10,000 US cash prize for the champion

G.SKILL has announced its 4th annual OC World Cup overclocking competition which attracts some of the biggest names in the overclocking community, not only due to the US $10,000 cash prize for the champion. This time also our Italian overclocking team member Franco “RULE” Valtulina will be there as well.


Before the finals which are going to be held at the G.SKILL booth during Computex 2017 show, G.SKILL's OC World Cup 2017 will be split into three rounds: Online Qualifier, Live Qualifier, and Grand Finals. Live Qualifier and Grand Finals will both be during Computex 2017 show from May 30 to June 2, 2017. The top two finishers from the Live Qualifier round will compete head-to-head on the fourth day of Computex 2017 for the grand prize.

G.SKILL prepared some sweet prizes for overclockers, including a $10'000 US cash prize for the champion. The second place will get $2'500 US and the 3rd place will receive $1'500 US. Furthermore the fourth and fifth place will be handed a $1'200 US and $1'000 US check, respectively. All the six participants of the live qualifiers will win the sponsorship of G.SKILL's new upcoming DDR4 memory.

Next to the G.SKILL annual overclocking events, there will also be a LN2 extreme OC workshop with HWBOT. This workshop gives Computex visitors the opportunity to experience LN2 overclocking.
