Biostar has been the first manufacturer to show AMD AM4 300-series motherboards. A few months ago, during an event they’ve hold in Taiwan, Biostar has shown a few details about an upcoming mini-ITX model, that is based on AMDs AM4 chipset. Meanwhile, there are finally some pictures on the Racing X370-GTN motherboard.
At the moment there are only a few details available on this new board. The full list of specifications as well as detailed pictures can most likely be expected to surface during the next days. So far Biostar’s X370-series will include four models: the Biostar X370-GTN, the Biostar X370-GT7, the Biostar X370-GT5 and then Biostar X370-GT3. While the X370-GT7, the X370-GT5 and the X370-GT3 are based on a standard ATX form factor, the X370-GTN is the first mini-ITX model.
The Biostar X370-GTN is based on a mini-ITX form factor with two DDR4 DIMM slots. On the storage side we find one M.2 slot, four SATA ports and 4 USB 3.0 ports. In the case of the CPU power design we find the same implementation as on the X370-GT5 and the X370-GT3. Looking at expansion slots we find one PCIe Gen 3.0 x16 slot without any metal reinforcement. In addition, like all the previous models, we see a Realtek Dragon LAN chip. At the moment Biostar didn't reveal any details on availability.
We are quite curious to see how a Ryzen high-end CPU will perform on this new motherboard since this is the first AMD X370 mini-ITX model. According to Biostar, the X370-GTN should be compatible with all AMD Ryzen CPUs and the board should also support XFR technology.
