ASRock unveils the X370 Fatal1ty Gaming K4 motherboard

A few months ago during the CES 2017 ASRock has shown their first batch of AM4 motherboards for AMD Ryzen processors and Bristol Ridge APUs. Meanwhile there quite a few pictures available online and today thanks to Videocardz we have more details about the upcoming X370 Fatal1ty Gaming K4 motherboard.


The X370 Fatal1ty Gaming K4 features a black PCB with red metal covers. Since the Fatal1ty motherboards usually are the flagship models within ASRock’s lineup we don’t believe ASRock will make an exception regarding AMD Ryzen. Furthermore this model might be a more budget oriented version of the Fatal1ty X370 Professional Gaming motherboard unveiled already a few weeks ago.

Having a more detailed look at the board we see two PCIe Gen 3.0 slots with steel reinforcements and four PCIe slots. Between the first and the second full-sized PCIe slot there are two slots distance providing plenty of space for graphics cards to breathe in the case of multi-GPU setups. On the storage side we see two M.2 slots and additionally there are six SATA ports. In addition, close to the CPU socket, there is also a M.2 WiFi slot which might be pretty interesting if you want create a Wireless setup with your computer.

Apart from that, on their upcoming socket AM4 based motherboard ASRock will offer the same features which can be also be found the vendor’s Z270 based boards. For example we find the Creative Sound Blaster Cinema 3 audio solution, debug LED and RGB headers.
