Gigabyte Z270X-Gaming 7 motherboard detailed

Finally a full picture

Yesterday we were talking about the upcoming Aorus gaming motherboard series spotted on the official Gigabyte Facebook page. With the leak of yesterday we were not sure about what we were facing, however today there is a neat and clear picture about the Aorus Z270X-GAMING 7 motherboard.

Although we are not talking about the same motherboard we can already say that the Aorus is going to be Gigabyte’s new high-end line. The image shows an Aorus Z270X-GAMING 7 motherboard that features an E-ATX form-factor and comes with four DIMM slots. Furthermore the image shows that this model is packed with Ultra Durable Memory Armor, a SoundCore30 AMP-Audio solution, a Killer LAN E2500 chip and an I/O cover.

Apart from that we can see that there are three PCIe slots as well as two M.2 slots. The heatsink on the PCH is quite big and there is also a backlight. Compared to the image we’ve spotted yesterday, we see a different heatsink as well as one PCIe slot less. It looks like this is not yet the fully fledged flagship model.

Regarding connectivity, we find two internal USB3.0 internal, a SATA Express port, three SATA ports and a U.2 port. The PCB comes with numerous switches, a debug LED and a few buttons.

Kaby Lake and Z270 are apparently pretty close and we hope to see more details about all upcoming motherboards very soon.
