More rumors on the Microsoft Surface Pro 5

Might be released in a few months

The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 was introduced in Q4 2015 and according to the latest rumors, Microsoft could be ready to hit the market with the Surface Pro 5. The new model will most likely be equipped with a Kaby Lake processor.



It looks like the new Surface Pro 5 will be based on Kaby Lake CPU, with 16GB of memory and a 512GB SSD. Since usually there are few different versions, we believe that this version could be the mid-range one. At the moment there is the Surface Pro 4, which can be ordered with a 512GB or 1TB SSD.

Speaking about connectivity, we expect to see USB Type-C ports as well as Thunderbolt 3 connectors. According to latest reports, the Surface Pro 5 might use a magnetic dock for recharging your device. Furthermore there should also be a fingerprint scanner.

At the moment you can get a discounted Surface Pro 4 with for 300 Euro in the Microsoft store. For this kind of money you get an Intel Core i5 with 8GB of memory and a 256GB SSD. Apparently it’s highly likely that Microsoft is going to release the Surface Pro 5 somewhen early next year, which almost implies that we’ll hear more about it when CES 2017 is taking place, beginning of January 2017.
