Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti performance unveiled

Scores P10,054 in 3DMark 11

While we already knew that Nvidia is preparing two new entry-level Geforce graphics cards, the Geforce GTX 1050 and the GTX 1050 Ti, we now have a first performance figures from the faster one, the GTX 1050 Ti.

While both the new Geforce GTX 1050 and GTX 1050 Ti graphics cards will be based on the same GP107 Pascal GPU and cover the entry-level graphics card market, there will be significant performance difference as the faster Geforce GTX 1050 Ti will pack 768 CUDA cores and come with 4GB of GDDR5 memory paired up with a 128-bit memory interface, the slower GTX 1050 will pack 640 CUDA cores and come with 2GB of GDDR5 memory with the same 128-bit memory interface.

The big surprise is that the GTX 1050 Ti will end up with a TDP of below 75W, which means it won't need an additional PCIe power connector.

According to the leaked information coming from Chiphell.com, the GTX 1050 Ti should work at 1290MHz GPU base and 1382MHz GPU Boost clocks, which should provide decent performance for casual and MOBA gaming.

According to the first performance results, it scores P10,054 points in 3DMark 11 benchmark, putting it way beyond the GTX 960 and providing decent performance for an entry-level graphics card.

Earlier information suggested that both the GTX 1050 and the GTX 1050 Ti should launch sometime in October with a price set at around US $149 for the GTX 1050 Ti and US $119 for the GTX 1050.
