HP's A320 chipset socket AM4 motherboard spotted

Based on custom micro-ATX design

Just a day after we saw a detailed picture of AMD's new AM4 socket with 1331 pins, now we have a picture of the first custom OEM motherboard based on the same AM4 socket and entry-level A320 chipset.

The motherboard, called the Willow, comes from HP and is based on AMD's entry-level A320 chipset and will be offered with AMD's upcoming Bristol Ridge socket AM4 APUs. Since tha actual core-logic is moved into CPU/APU package, the chipset here only provides additional SATA and USB ports.

The rest of the features include two DDR4 DIMM slots, PCIe gen 3.0 x16 slot, one M.2 slot and a couple of SATA 6Gbps ports, something that is expected from an entry-level motherboard.

We now also have a chance to see the square bolt-type retention mechanism, which will eventually allow you to orient the cooler in practically any direction.

We expect to see a plethora of AMD AM4 socket motherboards at CES 2017 show in January and probably some of them will show up a bit earlier.
