GPU market to go over 67.6 million units by 2020

Increased adoption of integrated GPUs

According to the latest report, the increased adoption of integrated GPUs will lead to an increase in global graphics processing unit (GPU) market, which is expected to surpass 67.61 million units during the 2016-2020 period.

According to a new report by Reportsnreports.com, the increase adoption of integrated GPUs, over discrete GPUs, is one of the major trends in the global GPU market, which will eventually lead to an increase adoption of GPUs with forecast that it will surpass 67.61 million units during the 2016-2020 period.

This increased adoption is mainly attributed to the growing need of enhanced visual content by end-consumers with demand for high memory graphics cards, as well as the growing number of PC games with higher graphics requirements.

Regionally, APAC region will account for almost 38 percent of the total market share by the end of the forecast period and is expected to dominate the market throughout the next four years, while Americas and EMEA region will follow closely.

The demand for decent GPU, even in notebooks, have been a trend for quite some time and it does not come as a surprise that analysts forecast expects a high growth of the GPU market, especially since iGPUs and APUs, will take a big part of that market.
