MSI has unveiled the new Intel X99 Express chipset based motherboard, the MSI X99A-SLI.
Featuring a slightly different design compared to the X99A-SLI Plus which was launched with first LGA2011v3 CPUs last year, the new X99-A SLI features both updated CPU support, modern connectivity and MSI's all-black design.
Based on a standard ATX form-factor, the MSI X99A SLI motherboard features an 8-phase CPU VRM, drawing power from 24-pin ATX and 8-pin EPS connectors and supports the new Core i7 Broadwell-E CPUs.
It also comes with three PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots and two PCI-Express 2.0 x1 slots while the storage side was updated with twelve SATA 6Gbps ports, one 32Gbps M.2 slot, one 32Gbps U.2 port and one 10Gbps SATA-Express port. The MSI X99A SLI also comes with two 10Gbps USB 3.1 Type-A and Type-C ports, eight USB 3.0 ports, Intel Gigabit Ethernet, 8-channel audio and more.
Unfortunately, we still have no details regarding the price but we suspect that this could be one of the more affordable X99 motherboards from MSI.
