AMD further teases upcoming Vega GPU architecture

Might be coming sooner

AMD is keeping teasing its upcoming Vega GPU architecture, suggesting that it is possible that these could come sooner than expected.

While recently leaked roadmaps suggest that we won't see AMD's new Vega GPU architecture before next year, we now have a new teaser coming from Chris Hook, Director of Global Marketing at AMD.

While the photograph, named "Vega launch venue", is rather strange and does not reveal any new information, it could mean that the Vega GPU architecture could come sooner than expected.

It is possible that AMD has decided to push the Vega launch forward or even make a paper launch of the architecture, revealing a bit more information about before products based on the new architecture come next year.

It also makes sense for AMD to speed things up as Nvidia is currently holding a big part of the high-end GPU market with almost no competition from AMD so Vega-based graphics cards would certainly be a welcomed sight.

Hopefully we will hear more information and rumored during Gamescom 2016 show which kicks off tomorrow in Cologne, Germany.
