In addition to the earlier unveiled ROG RX 470 STRIX, ASUS has decided that the Radeon RX 460 is also good enough to get the ROG Strix badge and has unveiled two versions of the ROG RX 460 STRIX graphics card.

Based on Polaris 11 GPU, the Radeon RX 460 packs 896 Stream Processors, 48 TMUs and 16 ROPs and works at 1090MHz base and 1200MHz GPU Boost clocks, in its reference version. It also comes with either 2GB or 4GB of GDDR5 memory, paired up with a 128-bit memory interface and, with TDP set below 75W, it draws power only from a PCIe slot,

As noted, ASUS has unveiled two versions of the ROG RX 460 STRIX, Standard and the OC version. The standard version works at 1200/1220 MHz Boost clock in Gaming and OC mode while the OC version works at 1236/1256MHz in Gaming and OC modes.

In order to meet such high GPU clocks, ASUS' ROG RX 460 STRIX models both need additional 6-pin PCIe power connector but provide 8.2 percent more performance in 3DMark Fire Strike Extreme benchmark and 38.6 percent more performance in Hitman. It also comes with 4GB of GDDR5 memory as a standard.

ASUS also equipped both models wiht its DirectCU II dual-fan cooler with FanConnect, which makes it up to 30 percent cooler and up to three times less noisy, as well as Super Alloy Power II components and Aura RGB LED support.

In addition to the ROG RX 460 STRIX models, ASUS also released a more budget-friendly ASUS RX 460 Dual, which works at 1200/1220 MHz GPU Boost clocks and packs 2GB of GDDR5 memory.

All three new ASUS RX 460 graphics cards should be already available in retail/e-tail.
