Although the picture of Gigabyte's RX 460 Windforce 2X graphics card was around for a while, we now have some of the first performance numbers, showing it trading blows with Nvidia's GTX 750 Ti in most games.
Originally coming from PurePC.pl, the Gigabyte RX 460 Windforce 2X results were taken down but not before
Videocardz.com managed to pull all the pictures.
In case you missed it, the AMD Radeon RX 460 is based on Polaris 11 GPU, packs 896 Stream Processors in 14 Compute Units, with 16 ROPs and 48 TMUs.
The reference version works at 1090MHz base and 1200MHz GPU Boost clock and comes with either 2GB or 4GB of 1750MHz clocked GDDR5 memory with 128-bit memory interface. The TDP is at below 75W TDP and it does not need additional power from PCIe power connectors.
In the provided performance results, the Gigabyte RX 460 Windforce 2X is about 1.2 to 1.3 times faster than the Radeon R7 260X and trades blows with Nvidia's GTX 750 Ti in most games. This should be enough to get you playable framerates in some games at 1080p resolution but it is mostly aimed at those playing Counterstrike, DOTA 2, Rocket League and similar games.
Hopefully, we will see plenty of low-profile versions which should be perfect for casual gaming and HTPC builds.
