Dell releases budget-friendly 27-inch FreeSync monitor

With IPS panel and US $249 price tag

Dell has released a new and rather interesting budget-friendly 27-inch FreeSync monitor with an IPS panel, 1920x1080 resolution and US $249 price tag, the Dell SE2717H.

As noted, the new Dell SE2717H is based on a 27-inch IPS panel with 1920x1080 resolution and has a decent design for a budget monitor, with narrow bezels, sturdy stand with tilt adjustment as well as D-Sub and HDMI 1.4a inputs. The panel itself has 300 cd/m2 brightness, 6ms response time, and support FreeSync, ranging from 48 to 75Hz.

While the specifications are nowhere close to some high-end monitors, its US $249 price tag is pretty impressive, especially considering that you get a lot of real-estate with 27-inch, despite the fact that it might not be perfect with 1920x1080 resolution.

Although still not listed in Europe, the Dell SE2717H is already available in the US directly from Dell so we expect it on European shelves soon, where it could easily be the cheapest large-screen FreeSync monitor around.
