As we are less than a week from the official launch of AMD's Polaris-based Radeon RX 480 graphics card it does not come as a surprise to see some more pictures of the graphics card.
A Sapphire-branded reference design Radeon RX 480 was
taken fully apart by Chinese site PCOnline.com.cn, showing all the key components, including a 6-phase VRM which draws power from a single 6-pin PCIe power connector and a detailed picture of the 14nm Ellesmere XT GPU.
The GPU itself is cooled by a large heatsink while the memory and the VRM part is cooled by a metal baseplate. As seen earlier, the reference design will use a blower-style cooler.
The Radeon RX 480 should launch on June 29th with an MSRP of US $199 for the 4GB and US $229 for the 8GB version.
