ASUS announces new Geforce GTX 1080 Turbo

With a blower-style cooler

ASUS has unveiled yet another Geforce GTX 1080 graphics card that will be positioned below the GTX 1080 Strix and use a blower-style dual-slot cooler.

Spotted by Techpowerup.com, the new ASUS GTX 1080 Turbo has a blower-style dual-slot cooler and works at reference 1607MHz GPU base and 1733MHz GPU boost clocks while 8GB of GDDR5X memory is also clocked at reference 10GHz.

It comes with a single 8-pin PCI-Express power connector and has DVI, two DisplayPort 1.4 and two HDMI 2.0b display outputs.

The ASUS GTX 1080 Turbo also comes with an RGB LED lit ASUS logo on the top of the shroud and features one 4-pin PWM fan header that can be used to power a case fan that will spin up depending on the GPU temperatures.

Unfortunately, ASUS did not reveal any details about the price but this one is expected to come somewhere between Nvidia's MSRP of US $599 and US $679 which is the price of ASUS' GTX 1080 Strix graphics card.
