ASUS Geforce GTX 1070 Strix detailed

With triple-fan RGB cooler

There have been plenty of custom Geforce GTX 1070 graphics cards spotted so far and today, we have some of the first details on the ASUS' GTX 1070 Strix, which features RGB triple-fan cooler and comes with a decent factory-overclock.

According to Nordichardware.se, which has the card in their hands, the ASUS GTX 1070 Strix comes with a full custom design but still needs a single 8-pin PCI-Express power connector. Unlike the GTX 1070 Founders Edition, the GTX 1070 Strix uses a custom triple-fan cooler with RGB leds and comes with a hefty factory-overclock.

While the GTX 1070 Founders Edition works at 1506MHz for the GPU base and 1683MHz for the GPU Boost clocks, ASUS has raised those by a decent amount, pushing the GTX 1070 Strix to 1650MHz for the GPU base and 1860MHZ for the GPU Boost clocks in OC mode.

ASUS also replaced the third DisplayPort output with another HDMI 2.0 port, making the GTX 1070 Strix more suitable for VR headsets like the Oculus Rift or the HTC Vive.

ASUS GTX 1070 Strix has been already listed online and usually sells for around €529.
