Another Radeon RX 480 benchmark leaks

RX 480 is faster than GTX 980

AMD has prepared a rather interesting marketing campaign for its Polaris architecture and now we have yet another alleged 3DMark benchmark for the Radeon RX 480, showing that it actually beats the Geforce GTX 980.

According to the 3DMark Fire Strike benchmark results spotted at Reddit, the 4GB version of the Radeon RX 480 hits 3,194 points which is just above the Geforce GTX 980 graphics card.

While this might not be an impressive score for a new graphics card, bear in mind that the 4GB version of the Radeon RX 480 should cost around US $199, while the GTX 980 currently sells for around US $450.

We have already seen some of the first custom RX 480 graphics cards and these early benchmark scores could be done on early drivers so these could only get higher, at least if these are true.

Of course, these are still unconfirmed results so take them with a grain of salt as we wait for the official launch and official reviews.
