A yet to be detailed Nvidia mobile Pascal GPU has been spotted at Computex 2016 running inside Clevo P775DM2-G gaming notebook and packing a total of 2048 CUDA cores.
While it has been confirmed that this is a Pascal-based GPU, it is still no clear which GPU it actually is and what is the name of this mobile graphics card from Nvidia. The picture shows a GPU that packs 2048 CUDA cores, and puts it somewhere between the GTX 1080 and GTX 1070 desktop graphics cards so it is highly unlikely that this is a version of the GP104 GPU.
The precise specification included 2048 CUDA cores, 8GB of memory and a 256-bit memory interface. The GPU was working at 1442MHz with memory clocked at 8000MHz.
This suggests that upcoming GTX 1080M and GTX 1070M might be based on a different GPU rather than the same GP104 seen on desktop graphics cards.
Earlier rumors suggest that mobile Pascal GPUs could launch in August.
