ASUS brought plenty of devices to Computex 2016 show and has once again showed its Republic of Gamer XG Station 2, external graphics card solution.
The ASUS ROG XG Station 2 was originally unveiled at CES 2016 show in January and it is based on pretty much the same design as all currently available and upcoming external graphics card solutions.
It also uses Thunderbolt 3 interface as well as ASUS' own exclusive proprietary connector than improves performance by additional 15 percent.
This probably means that ASUS XG Station 2 might be limited only to certain ASUS notebooks, or ASUS simply improved the existing USB Type-C connector. While it did not reveal a lot of information ASUS did note that the ROG XG Station 2 comes with a 680W power supply and support all the latest generation Geforce GTX and AMD Radeon graphics cards.
It also comes with four additional USB 3.0 ports and Ethernet port and it actually supports hot-swap, which means that you can plug and unplug it whenever you want. According to ASUS, it will even charge your notebook.
Currently ASUS has not revealed any information regarding the price or the availability date.
