Nvidia GTX 1080/1070 comes with new SLI Bridge

The SLI High Bandwidth (HB)

In addition to the new Geforce GTX 1080 and GTX 1070 graphics cards, Nvidia has also introduced a new SLI technology, the SLI HB.

To be available only with the new GP104 GTX 1080 and GTX 1070 graphics cards, at least for now, the new SLI HB (High Bandwidth) will double the amount of memory bandwidth available between paired graphics cards.

The new SLI HB is basically a 2-way bridge that uses both SLI fingers and should theoretically double the bandwidth and make SLI much better and faster as well as offer higher display resolutions and better multi-display setups.

Unfortunately, Nvidia only unveiled rigid bridges so you will need to pick the one that is suitable for the slot arrangement on the motherboard.

The new SLI HB technology sounds interesting and hopefully we will see some reviews and real world performance numbers soon.
