According to the latest report, Intel plans to cut a significant number of jobs, mostly in Oregon.

According to a report coming from Oregonlive.com site, Intel plans to lay-off thousands of people which should continue earlier company plans for restructuring.

While there are no precise numbers, the source, citing multiple sources from Intel, suggest that the company might lay-off a significant number of people, somewhere between 10 to 20 percent.

There is no confirmation from Intel, but the source suggest that the company might announced its move during its quarterly financial report.

This is not the first time that Intel is cutting jobs and despite it is still a very profitable company with expected sales growth of around 5 percent this year, the company still looking for ways to restructure. Last year, Intel has cut around 1000 jobs in the US and had around 100k employees around the world.
