Intel SSD 750 lineup has been always reserved for enthusiasts, both in terms of performance and price but now it appears that there was a significant drop pushing the price down to Samsung 950 Pro level.
According to a report from Computerbase.de, Intel's flagship SSD 750 1TB PCIe version has dropped by around 30 percent in Europe, putting it at around €740, which is good to hear considering that the previous price was set at around €1,060.
This price puts the Intel SSD 750 1.2TB at the same price per gigabyte as the Samsung 950 Pro 512GB, making Intel's SSD 750 series much more attractive.
The price cut is also extended to other Intel SSD 750 series drives, the 2.5-inch U.2 form-factor SSD 750 versions.
Samsung's 950 Pro should still be the better choice for notebooks and mini-ITX systems but Intel's SSD 750 series has become a bit more attractive due to its higher IOPS performance, cooler, power failure protection and more.
