Plenty of April Fools jokes in IT industry today

Some are good some just are not

There were plenty of serious news in IT Industry today but since it is 1st of April, there were plenty of April Fools' jokes. We decided to place them all in the same place so you can check out at least some of them.

Traditionally, Razer kicked off the day with Project BreadWinner, a Razer branded toaster which we might say looks really impressive and something that we would consider buying if the price was not too high.

Google made a lot of mess by adding the MicDrop feature to Gmail, which was quickly removed as it was bugged and allowed users to shut down an email thread by sending a gif of a Minion dropping a microphone. Google has removed the button and released a short statement: "It looks like we pranked ourselves this year. Due to a bug, the MicDrop feature inadvertently caused more headaches than laughs. We're truly sorry."

Youtube added a sweet SnoopaVision button to its player and this April Fools' joke certainly took a lot of time for Youtube to create as it includes Snoop Dogg as the main character.

MSI jumped the gun with April Fools Day earlier last night and announced a modular motherboard called The One, a really neat idea that will obviously never come to life.

ASUS had a lot of different April Fools Day pranks on its Facebook pages, including liquid cooled Zen Pad H2O and the ROG Epic, a 6.1-inch smartphone which integrates PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One and more.

Nvidia decided that 1st of April is the perfect time to launch its Geforce GTX Energy drink. AMD unveiled the Radeon R9 Micro graphics card for portable 4K gaming.

Caseking.de also made sure it got into the game on April Fools Day by unveiling its own KingVR headset.

Seasonic made an appearance with its new RETRO series power supply, which looks great for a mod.

There were plenty of other region specific pranks so we are sorry if we missed any but these are the ones that caught our eye.
