Acer unveils US $4999 Predator Z850 gaming projector

With 1920x720 resolution

Acer has unveiled a rather interesting new member of its Predator gaming lineup, the Predator Z850 projector designed specifically for gaming and priced at US $4999.

According to Acer, this is the world's first ultra-wide HD laser projector which is designed specifically for gaming. It comes with a 24:9 aspect ratio and 1920x720 resolution. Based on a laser diode with 30,000 hours of life, the Predator Z850 gaming project offers 3,000 lumens of brightness and 100,000;1 contrast ratio.

The new Predator Z850 also offers mirror-less ultra-short-throw technology which allows it to project image of up to 120-inches in size from 18.5 inches away (47cm). It also comes with Acer's own ColorBoost3D and ColorSafe II feature which should provide best possible image quality.

According to what can be seen from the pictures of the projector, it comes with two D-Sub, two HDMI and RCA inputs and can also be paired up with an optional wireless HD kit, in case you do not want to mess around with wires.

Unfortunately, all those high-end features come at a hefty price, so the new Acer Predator Z850 gaming projector will go on sale soon with a price tag of US $4999, making it suitable only to those with deep pockets.
