Galax teases a 2.5-inch HOF SSD

No details

Galax has teased yet another Hall of Fame series SSD, this time in a 2.5-inch form factor.

While we have already seen a teaser of the HOF PCIe SSD based on NVMe PCI-Express Gen3 x4 interface earlier, Galax has now decided to tease yet another new SSD that will be a part of the same series, the 2.5-inch SATA-based HOF SSD.

While no details were given with the teaser picture posted on Galax' Facebook page, it is possible that the new HOF 2.5-inch SSD might be an all-white version of the earlier released Galax Gamer SSD, which is based on JMicron Heracles SATA 6Gbps interface controller with MLC NAND.

The Galax Gamer SSD offers sequential transfer performance of up to 540MB/s for read and 480MB/s for write and 4K random performance of 74,000 IOPS for read and 76,000 IOPS for write. It is available in 120GB and 240GB versions.

On the other hand, we could see a completely new product with different controller and different specifications so we will have to wait and see, but for now, we just have a teaser picture.
