AMD updates Gaming Evolved client

Many new features

AMD has released a new version of its Gaming Evolved client which brings some new features, mostly focused on gameplay recording.

According to AMD, the new version of the Gaming Evolved client will be always recording your gameplay in the background and let you use a hotkey to mark the one moment that you like and create a 30-second clip of that gameplay action. In addition to the video, the clip will also include recording from your microphone, webcam and mouse clicks. The software also automatically deletes old clips so it can keep on recording after the recording space has been filled up.

While this might use some of the system resources and have an effect on the performance, Roy Taylor, Corporate Vice President of Alliances, Technology and VR at AMD said that there is "virtually no impact on system performance."

The new Gaming Evolved client from AMD now also includes a video editor, allowing users to join various clips and make a video out of them. It works by simply selecting multiple videos.

For Counter Strike: Global Offensive and League of Legends, which are currently the most popular games on Steam, AMD's new Gaming Evolved integrates them into the software and “automatically create highlights of your kills, deaths, killstreaks, bomb plants, baron kills, etc; completely pre-edited.” The same support will also coming from some other games as well.

The new Gaming Evolved also offers an easy ability to shared those videos via Plays.tv, Reddit, Twitter, Facebook and other social media sites.
