ASUS starts shipping the ROG Swift PG348Q monitor

First curved ultra-wide gaming monitor

ASUS announced that it has started to ship its first curved ultra-wide gaming monitor, the ROG Swift PG348Q.

Based on a 34-inch IPS panel with 3440x1440 resolution, 1000:1 contrast ratio and 300cd/m2 of maximum brightness, the ROG Swift PG348Q is an ultra-wide monitor with 21:9 aspect ratio and 3800R curvature. It is also capable of showing 1.07 billion and covers 100% of sRGB color space. The default refresh rate of the ROG Swift PG384Q ranges from 60Hz to 100Hz and supports Nvidia G-Sync.

The design of the ASUS ROG Swift PG348Q is similar to the rest of the ROG Swift monitor lineup and features an ultra-thin frame. It also comes with a stand that both offers height, tilt and swivel adjustments but also has a LED effect on the bottom, which "projects" ROG logo on the surface.

The connectivity side includes, one DisplayPort 1.2 port, which is meant to be used if you want to get that 3440x1440 resolution at 100Hz and HDMI 1.4 port, limited to 3440x1440 at 30Hz. It also comes with a 4-port USB 3.0 hub and stereo 2W speakers.

Unfortunately, such high-end specifications also come with a high-end price so the ROG Swift PG348Q should be available as of May in the US with a price set at around US $1,200, and it has already been listed in Europe for just over €1,200.
