K|NGP|N breaks FireStrike Extreme World Record

Scores 35k+ on EVGA GTX 980 Ti Quad-SLI

Vince "K|NGP|N" Lucido managed to smash the 3DMark FireStrike Extreme benchmark world record by pushing the score over 35,000 points on its LN2-cooled Quad-SLI EVGA GTX 980Ti K|NGP|N graphics cards.

The system also included an EVGA X99 motherboard paired up with LN2 cooled and overclocked Intel Core i7-5960X, 32GB of G.Skill Trident Z memory and powered by EVGA SuperNova 1600W PSU. The star of the show and the main culprit behind the new world record were four LN2-cooled EVGA GTX 980 Ti K|NGP|N Edition graphics cards.

Earlier held by Xtreme Addict with four Galax GTX 980 Ti graphics cards and a score of 31,391, K|NGP|N managed to push the record even higher, to 35,275 points.

Back in December, K|NGP|N managed to push the GPU on these same graphics cards to 2,200MHz, which showed that these are definitely meant for overclocking and the new FireStrike Extreme world record just proves it again.
