ASUS launches new MG24UQ 24-inch 4K/UHD monitor

With IPS panel

Teased back in January at CES 2016 together with the 28-inch MG28UG, ASUS has now officially announced the new MG-series monitor, the 24-inch MG24UQ.

Unlike the 28-inch MG28UG which is based on a TN panel, the new MG24UQ uses a 23.6-inch IPS panel with 3840x2160 resolution. It has a maximum brightness of 300cd/m2, 4ms response time, ASUS dynamic contrast ratio adn support for 100% sRGB gamut.

The new ASUS MG24UQ monitor also comes with HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.2 inputs and supports AMD adaptive-sync, aka FreeSync technology, although only in the range of 40Hz to 60Hz.

The rest of the features include 2W stereo speakers, ASUS' exclusive Ultra-Low Blue Light, Flicker-Free, GamePlus, and GameVisual technologies and comes with a stand which allows tilt, swivel, pivot and height adjustments.

Unfortunately, ASUS did not reveal any details regarding the price and we still can't find it listed anywhere in Europe or the US. Hopefully, we will see it on retail/e-tail shelves soon.
