CableMod is quite a famous company when it comes to PC modding and just a year after they brought their special cables, CableMod has now announced its newest addition, the WideBeam LED Strips.
With the new WideBeam LED Strips, CableMod promises the same care and attention to detail we have seen on its PC cables, including high quality adhesive, power connectors and LEDs.
According to CableMod, the new WideBeam LED Strips feature specially-designed LEDs, which are not only one of the brightest available but also feature a beam angle that is up to fifty percent wider than conventional LEDs and should provide a more even lighting effect.
The new WideBeam LED Strips will be available in two series, Magnetic and Foam, depending on what kind of adhesive do you want. Meant for steel-based cases, the WideBeam LED Strip Magnetic Series will have several rare earth magnets underneath the waterproof resin, or to be precise six large magnets in a single 30cm strip. For those with non-magnetic PC cases, like aluminum, CableMod has the WideBeam Foam Series, with special foam adhesive which is 200 percent stronger than adhesive found on traditional LED strips.
The CableMod WideBeam LED Strips will be available in a wide variety of colors including red, green, blue, white and UV as well as RGB option, which will be perfect for the recently released ASUS motherboards with RGB header. It also comes with a SATA power connector which is both much easier to connect compared to the 4-pin Molex connector and also allow easier chaining of several LED strips.
According to CableMod, both the Magnetic and Foam series will be available in 30 and 60cm as well as a number of color and configurations. Unfortunately, CableMod did not reveal any details regarding the price.
