KFA2, Galaxy's European brand, has announced the new Geforce GTX 970 EXOC Sniper Edition graphics card which will feature both a custom PCB as well as a decent factory-overclock.
Being an equivalent of Galaxy's well known Hall of Fame (HOF) graphics cards, the new KFA2 GTX 970 EXOC Sniper Edition comes with a custom PCB and a dual-slot air cooler with hefty heatsink, 8mm nickel-plated copper heatpipes and two 90mm fans.
As it has pretty big shoes to fill since it is compared to the Galaxy HOF Edition, KFA2 GTX 970 EXOC Sniper Edition also features a hefty factory-overclock, pushing the GPU to 1178MHz base and 1329MHz GPU Boost clock. This is a decent improvement compared to reference 1050MHz base and 1178MHz GPU Boost clocks.
Unfortunately, 4GB (3.5GB+0.5GB) of GDDR5 memory remained at reference 7012MHz but we are sure there is some overclocking room left there as well.
According to the report, the KFA2 GTX 970 EXOC Sniper Edition should show up on retail/e-tail shelves soon with a price of €349.
