Over 32% of Steam users running on Windows 10 OS

Windows 10 becoming popular gaming OS

It appears that Microsoft's Windows 10 OS is becoming the most popular Windows OS of all time as it is receiving a wider adoption among gamers than any other previous Windows 10 OS, with over 32 percent of Steam users now running on it.

According to Steam's December hardware survey, almost 33 percent of all Steam users are running on the new Windows 10 OS, with 31.55 percent using the 64-bit version and 1.22 percent on 32-bit version. Windows 10 is still behind Windows 7 OS, which holds 34.3 percent on Steam but as this is only 1.6 percent ahead of Windows 10 OS we suspect that Windows 10 will soon take the lead.

This is a great result for Microsoft and its Windows 10 OS as it managed to get quite a user base in just over 5 months and we expect it to grow even further with the introduction of DirectX 12 capable games.

According to the same Steam hardware survey, Nvidia is holding 54.61 percent of the market share with AMD at only 26.23 percent. Intel is closing to AMD with 18.66 percent of share.
