MSI has already had limited non-K Skylake CPU overclocking enabled on some Z170 Express chipset motherboards but according to the latest news from MSI, all Z170 Express chipset motherboards now support it.
There were a couple of BIOS updates for certain MSI motherboards available at HWBOT.org forums, and MSI has now announced that it will bring BIOS updates for all of its Z170 Express chipset motherboards. Unlike ASRock, which published BIOS updates for non-K Skylake overclocking on its official website, MSI will still stick to HWBOT.org forums.
Currently, you can find BIOS updates for around 15 different MSI Z170 Express chipset based motherboards at HWBOT.org forum thread and MSI has promised that the rest will come soon as well. As it is the case with all other motherboards, non-K Skylake overclocking comes at a priceas it disables IGP as well as lacks C-states, Turbo mode and has low performance for AVX instructions, but at least you can adjust BCLK and overclock your favorite Skylake CPU.
You can check out the full list of MSI motherboards that currently support non-K Skylake overclocking below and four those BIOS updates via link below.
