ASUS motherboards might be most reliable on the market

At least when it comes to the newest report

According to the latest report, conveniently taken by ASUS, it appears that ASUS motherboards have been rated as the most-reliable on the market, with a return rate of just 1.89 percent.

According to a report from Hardware.fr site, which includes several motherboard brands, tested and included ASUS motherboards had the lowest return rate, of just 1.89 percent. In the report, ASUS is the only motherboard brand that has a reliability rate of below 2 percent, followed by Gigabyte at 2.05 percent, ASRock with 2.08 percent and MSI with 2.55 percent.

When it comes to chipsets, it does not come as a surprise that high-end chipset have the highest return rate. On Intel side, the X99 has a 3.84 percent return rate, followed by Z87/Z97 with 2.63 percent return rate. The rest of Intel chipset have a return rate of below 2 percent. On the AMD side, the 990 chipset has a return rate of 4.58 percent, followed closely by 970 chipset with 4.0 percent return rate. The rest of the chipset also have return rate of below 2 percent.

Of course, this gives ASUS certain bragging rights but the report is based on return rates from a single seller located in France, LDLC, so worldwide situation might be a bit different. Of course, it also shows that there is quite a big RMA rate on motherboards so hopefully manufacturers will be able to lower it significantly.
