Eidos Montreal has announced a rather disappointing news for all Deus Ex fans, delaying the upcoming Deus Ex: Mankind Divided to August 2016.
While Deus Ex: Mankind Divided was originally planned to be released in February 2016, it appears that Eidos Montreal has hit a big issue which forced them to delay the game all the way to August 23rd, 2016.
According to David Anfossi, Edios Montreal studio head, the expectations for Mankind Divided are extremely high and the developer wants not only to meet those expectations but also exceed them. He also added that they are confident and proud of the game so far but that it will require more time in post-production for tuning, iterations and refinement to meet the high standards, forcing the developer to push the release of the game to August 23, 2016.
The delay was somewhat expected due to recent pre-order scheme for Mankind Divided from Square Enix, suggesting that the game was already delayed and that the original date was never a realistic launch date, but just a tease so users should pre-order the game.
In any case, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is now scheduled to launch on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC on August 23, 2016. Hopefully, the game won't be further delayed as that would leave some rather angry and disappointed users that have already pre-ordered it.
