ASUS unveils new B150 Pro Gaming/Aura motherboards

Adding more style and features to budget Skylake builds

ASUS has unveiled two new budget but also feature-packed motherboards based on Intel's B150 Express chipset with support for Intel's latest Skylake CPUs, the ASUS B150 Pro Gaming and the B150 Pro Gaming/Aura.

Both motherboards share the same specifications as well as the same design, apart from the illumination feature found on the B150 Pro Gaming/Aura motherboard, which includes multi-colored programmable LEDs that can be set in several modes as well as respond to changes in temperatures and load.

ASUS included plenty of features on these two motherboards, despite the fact that these are marketed as budget motherboards, incluidng USB 3.1 Type-A and Type-C ports, NVM Express (NVMe) M.2 port, ASUS SupremeFX and Sonic Radar II audio, Intel-based Gigabit Ethernet with ASUS LanGuard and GAmeFirst and more.

Specification wise, both motherboards are based on Intel's B150 Express chipset and feature support for Intel's 6th generation Core Skylake LGA1151 CPUs, have four DIMM slots with support for up to 64GB of DDR4-2133 memory, single PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slot, one PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slot working at x4, two PCI-Express 3.0 x1 slots and two PCI slots.

It also comes with six SATA 6Gbps ports, one M.2 Socket 3 slot, one USB 3.1 Type-A and one USB 3.1 Type-C port, six USB 3.0 and six USB 2.0 ports, Intel Gigabit Ethernet, 7.1-channel SupremeFX audio and more.

Unfortunately, ASUS did not unveil any details regarding the price or the availability date or these two feature-packed B150 Express chipset budget motherboards.
