Nvidia beats AMD in Ashes of the Singularity DX12

Thanks to a new driver

It appears that Nvidia got back into the DirectX 12 game as its Geforce GTX 980 Ti beats AMD Radeon R9 Fury X in Ashes of Singularity DirectX 12 bechmark with the new Geforce drivers.

While early tests results showed that AMD Radeon R9 Fury X is way ahead Nvidia's Geforce GTX 980 Ti in Ashes of the Singularity DirectX 12 benchmark, Nvidia managed to turn the situation around with its latest Geforce 358.50 drivers.

Although the difference is just 0.4 FPS, this is still a great result as Nvidia managed to boost the performance by 11 percent, compared to the earlier driver release. AMD also managed to improve the performance of its Radeon R9 Fury X with latest Catalyst 15.10, but only by 6 percent.

Bear in mind that the GTX 980 Ti and R9 Fury X are not the only graphics cards that got a performance boost with new drivers as both companies improved performance on all other graphics cards.

Ashes of the Singularity will be available on Steam Early Access as of next week so we will probably see even more results then.
