Shuttle's new XPC SH170R6 barebone detailed

Based on H170 Express chipset

Shuttle has unveiled some details regarding its upcoming XPC SH170R6 compact desktop system that will be based on Intel's H170 Express chipset and offer support for Intel's latest 6th generation Core Skylake CPUs.

As expected, the new Shuttle XPC SH170R6 will be based on a custom H170 Express chipset motherboard featuring four DDR4 DIMM slots, PCI-Express 3.0 x16 and PCI-Express 3.0 x4 slots, 32 Gbps M.2 slot, four SATA 6Gbps ports a standard heatpipe based XPC CPU cooler and an 80Plus Bronze 300W PSU.

The case is quite similar to Shuttle's earlier available XPC high-end barebones and includes room for a 5.25-inch optical drive and two 3.5-inch drives, while the back I/O features two DisplayPort 1.2 and single HDMI output, six USB 3.0 ports, eSATA 6Gbps port, Gigabit Ethernet and a 7.1-channel audio output. Shuttle will also offer an optional mPCIe WLAN card.

The new Shuttle XPC SH170R6 is scheduled to be available later this month with a price set at €258 ex. VAT.
